Carpet Cleaning San Marcos

Have you ever spent the money to have your favorite car detailed? I'm not talking about running the car through the wash at the local gas station. I'm talking hand detailed done by a professional.   A true auto detail is a treat for any car and should take hours to complete. Let's imagine you take the time and money to really have your car buffed out and polished to perfection. Would you even consider by-passing having a coat of paint protector (or wax) applied to protect what you just spent hundreds of dollars trying to shine up?

There is a difference between a good price and a good value!

As our unemployment rate continues to hover around 10% and the uncertainty of our national and global economy is still in question, many companies are taking drastic measures to make a buck. Carpet and tile cleaning companies are certainly not immune to such practices.  I recently found a local Southern California carpet cleaning company advertising that they will clean an eight room, two story house for just $65.  Wow!  I wave the white flag right now!  I can't beat this price or even come close to it!

Going "Green" Carpet Cleaning!

Super Steam Carpet Cleaning has been "Green" for several months now and the results have been better than expected!

Green Carpet CleaningThe process leading up to this decision was meet with much debate.  As I interviewed various professionals in the field I found many different opinions on "green" carpet cleaning.  Companies who weren't using non-toxic, environmentally friendly products claimed that the "green" products wouldn't work as well.  However, the companies who were using the "green" carpet cleaning products claimed that they were very happy with the results and in many cases they felt the products worked better than conventional cleaning products.  Still, through all of my research, I could not find one company who made the switch to "green" carpet cleaning who didn't like the results.  In other words, all the nay-sayers were the ones who have never tried using organic products.  My decision was made to "GO GREEN!" There are some rare instances where I will still need to break out conventional cleaning measures (ie. - pet stains/odors and heavily soiled carpets) but for  most jobs the "green" carpet cleaning works fantastic!  In addition, the benefits are two fold.  Not only is "green" carpet cleaning safer for the environment, it's safer for your family as well.  At Super Steam Carpet Cleaning, our "Certified Green Seal of Approval" products are non-toxic and carry no harmful VOC's (volital organic compounds).  This means you can rest assured that with Super Steam Carpet Cleaning, your going to get super clean carpets without compromising the environment or your family's health.

Why Bad Carpet Cleaning is BAD.

So it's been almost a year since you had your carpets cleaned and you've got company coming in town for a Fourth of July bash.  Money's tight so you search Craigslist for an affordable company to come do some serious carpet cleaning.  That's where you find it.  That giant captain that says: "CARPET CLEANING FOR ENTIRE HOUSE, JUST $69."  You think, "why not?"  "What's the worst that can happen?"

There are many reasons why you need to be careful here.

Owner-operated has numerous advantages to the customer.

I recently attended a carpet cleaning seminar hosted by a carpet cleaning supply vendor.  The class outlined some of the latest stain removal techniques and the latest environmentally friendly chemicals.  The second half of the course was a business marketing seminar. This is where I had  great disagreement with the instructor.  His thesis was that business owners need to advertise a low price on line and try to "up sell" the customer when they arrive on scene.

Carpet drying times.....

There are many things we CAN do to increase carpet drying times! The most frequent question I hear from new customers; "how long will it take for my carpets to dry when you finish work?"  A very simple and good question that has no exact answer.  However, the technique your cleaning technician is using is most prevalent here.  Sure, there are many variables we as carpet cleaners have no control over.  For example, in the summer drying times could be considerably lower due to the higher outside temperature.  Or, if you live in Houston Texas, the drying times could be considerably higher in the summer because of the increased relative humidity.
